Today’s race was «1km1vida» in the city of Valencia.
In this I have acted as a volunteer along with several classmates. Our job was to show the way to the runners at several points along the route that did not have signs nearby to ensure that all runners reached the finish line.
As the race took place in a busy area, our role was also to redirect people who unknowingly ended up entering the race course.
Although quieter than other races in which I have participated as a volunteer, it was very entertaining. Near where we were, a zumba class was taking place and we were able to lead the way to the rhythm of good music.
Volunteers, but volunteers with style.
