About me

It is difficult to define me in words. Surely if you asked any of the people who know me they would say something like «Clara… well… Clara is clear». And the truth is that I don’t think there is a better way to explain it.

Although it may be complex, I will try to make you understand who Clara is.

You know that person who arrives at work in the morning with (maybe too much) energy and twenty different project ideas? You know that person who, once she starts a project, obsesses over it until it’s finished? You know that person who seeks to make every detail perfect or can’t get enough? That’s me again.

I like to describe myself as a motivated, organized person with the ability to work in a team but also to lead it. I always have a project in mind and enjoy being able to put my energy and passion into it.

Therefore, I am also demanding with what I do and I strive to learn and improve my skills in order to progress in all the areas I work in.

Although I invest a lot of my time in my priorities, I am an extroverted and social person, who considers quality time essential to form bonds with other people, an ideology that I also extrapolate to the projects I am part of.

Focused, approachable, sensible, fun, organized and with a lot (but a lot) of energy. That’s me.

Current student at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, studying International Studies with a focus on East Asia. My studies focus on understanding the gears that make international relations between different regions and countries of the world work.

Not only do I learn about the current and previous policies or economic theories in place in our systems, but I also have the opportunity to learn about the history that has built the current map, the culture behind each government and society, and even their languages. In my case, my focus is on Japanese and Korean.

One of the reasons why I have been able to access this education has been my double degree in the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Spanish National Baccalaureate taken at IES Pere Boïl, in Manises, Valencia.

Apart from my academic studies, I have attended various courses:

  • One of my interests is politics and governance, so I have invested and continue to invest time in improving my skills in public speaking and debating. I have participated in several courses but the most enriching without a doubt has been the one offered by Fernando Miralles.
  • As you can see in my «Projects» page, I had the opportunity to attend an Active Citizenship Lab course at the European Youth Center in Budapest. This was based on an intensive week on how to organize, direct, structure and lead a project to success.
  • At the Comenius Educational Center, I attended an intensive course to become part of the educational mediation team and to be able to collaborate in improving the environment and well-being of my classmates.

Another of my hobbies is sports. It is a habit to which I give a lot of importance and in which I invest time every day.

Throughout my life I have practiced countless sports: rhythmic gymnastics, skating, dancing, swimming, tennis … but there are two that have marked my path and way of being spatially.

Between one thing and another, more for pressure than for pleasure, I participated in an open day of my high school handball team. Maybe it’s because it’s in my genes, I ended up being the goalkeeper and pleasantly surprising the team’s coach. Although I was a bit of a pain in the ass, I ended up agreeing to join. 3 years later I decided to change team to Handbol Mislata.

With 5 years of handball and two injuries behind me, in 2020 I started training at home calisthenics, which later developed into a daily gym routine.

Not much later, I began to consider practicing a martial art where I could train my strength and flexibility while learning about and testing the limits of my body. It took longer than I expected but I found the Taekboxing Center where I learned Taekwon-do as well as kickboxing.

After a long time, I can say that I have found my sport and I hope to continue practicing it for a long time.

Another of my passions is photography. This is a hobby to which I dedicate a lot of time as you may have seen in the «Projects» section.

I usually try to participate in the events as part of the team of photographers or social networks, but even if I don’t do it, I always take care of capturing the best moments so at the end of the events I can make a montage of the experience, which I usually upload to my personal instagram.

I am very interested in languages and that is why I have focused my education in an area where I can learn them but also put them into practice.

That is why I currently invest a lot of my time in the study of the languages I have chosen in my career but also in their cultural background.

But I also invest a lot of time (maybe too much) in reading. My bookshelf is filled with the latest books on geopolitics, economics, philosophy, self-improvement, history, basic psychology, politics… I go everywhere accompanied by a book.

And with all this, I am always open to new experiences and never say no to trying new hobbies.

I am currently focusing my energies on my studies as in the second semester I would like to start a Double Degree in Governance and Global Issues. In addition to continuing my language studies, which now includes two new ones.

Even with that, I have never been one to settle. I have ideas and projects that I would like to develop and for which I am trying to improve. Every job or experience I have the opportunity to work on serves to bring me closer to my aspirations.

I consider that for the things that are really worthwhile you can always create time (it only requires a very good organization, constancy and discipline), whether it is family, a job or a book you long to read. That is why I am still looking for projects in which I can be part of. Above all, I am a realist, I have clear priorities. There will be projects that I can take on and others that I can’t, but in those in which I participate I will give my 100%.

Take a look at my last projects!
