Somewhat driven by my passion for politics, I became a member of the “Equipo Europa” (Team Europe) organization. This is based on teaching concepts of the EU, its organizations and how it works. It offers free classes to schools in Spain and has other initiatives such as «Un árbol por europa» (a tree for Europe) and a variety of reports and research carried out by young people from Team Europe.
When I heard that the General Assembly of Team Europe was going to be held in my city, Valencia, I didn’t hesitate and I signed up as part of the team in charge of organizing the event. Together with 7 other colleagues, we organized what would be a 3-day meeting in which we will gather people from all over Spain, both in person and online.
After this experience I can only admit how complicated and rewarding it is to organize an event, but I am glad to have been able to be part of such an efficient team because now I understand the effort involved. On the other hand, I have learned in the best of ways, through practice, to manage time, meet deadlines, organize teams, divide tasks … in short, now there is no event that I can not organize (yes, this is an open statement to anyone who wants to challenge me in organization).
